   Jaimi Leigh DeFeo - CEO and Founder 

Jaimi Leigh started with two years of schooling and training in photography but went back to school to earn a B.A. degree in Geography and Environmental Science at SUNY New Paltz. She worked fifteen years doing freelance work and managing other small businesses, and while doing a final paper on consumerism for her undergrad degree, Terra Sage came to light. After being awarded an internship and working at National Geographic, she began research and developed the mission of Terra Sage. The Web site is just the beginning of Terra Sage, for she has many plans and ideas for growth.  She is currently working on her Master's degree at Central Connecticut State University in Global Sustainability.

Bruce Karel - Vice President and Co-Owner
Bruce has over 25 years of retail management experience and is the main support behind Terra Sage's birth. His vast experience in marketing and customer service are a backbone to the company and it's ability to grow and still stay personable. He also has a background in science since his major course of study at U Mass Amherst was Pre-Med. 

Lucy and Amber - Mascots and Consultants at Terra Sage

Lucy (black puppy) and Amber (brown puppy) are twin sisters and are the newest addition to the Terra Sage team. They advise us on the best pet supplies and serve as a reminder that there is always time to play as well as rest.

Sandra M. DeFeo - Data Entry and Finance

Sandra has over 20 years of experience in office management with a retail chain store and is a major contributor of the data entry team. She is also in charge of the bookkeeping department and offers her talents to supporting the office.

   Doris Tomaselli - Image and Graphics Management

Doris has over twenty years of varied graphics experience. She rules over Empress Creative, her own studio, taking on an array of art directing, design, illustration, and writing projects. She’s the published author of 10 children’s books, a biography set for 2009 release, and has a novel in the works. She’s been an important part of Terra Sage Stores "green team" launch.

   Betsy Ritchie - Research and Writing

Betsy is providing research support for Terra Sage.  She has over 20 years experience in the marine biology and environmental engineering fields, bringing a wide range of technical knowledge and expertise to the research. Betsy’s education includes a B.A. in aquatic biology from University of California, Santa Barbara, and an M.S. in environmental engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her professional experience includes work as an aquatic biologist for Marine World/Africa USA and the National Aquarium in Baltimore, and as an environmental engineer for Dames & Moore/URS performing hazardous waste investigations. An ardent environmentalist, Betsy is dedicated to educating people and businesses to be better guardians of our earth.
